I have posted several recipes lately on here and on my Instagram feed that suggest the use of Baby Brain Organics. It may have “baby” in the name, but with nutrition from quinoa, flax, and more, this is a great addition for babies, kids, and adults alike. It is great added to smoothies or soups, but also can be used as a substitution for some of the flour in muffins, pancakes and waffles. Some of these uses are already on the blog, and others can be modified. Here area few examples for you to check out…
Brunch Ideas
In my waffle recipe, I change the flour from 1 cup unbleached and 3/4 cup whole wheat to 3/4 cup unbleached, 3/4 cup whole wheat, and 1/4 cup Baby Brain Organics.
In my pancake recipe, there is also 1/4 cup of it in the mix.
Muffins
In my Oatmeal Banana Muffin recipe, your can change the oat/flour combo to the following…1 cup oats, 3/4 cup whole wheat flour, 3/4 cup unbleached flour, and 1.4 cup Baby Brain Organics.
In my Easy Banana Muffins, there is already 1/4 cup in the recipe listed.
In my Pumpkin Oat Muffin recipe, there is 1/2 cup in the recipe posted.
Snacks
Einstein Bites…well the name makes it pretty obvious…these are packed with the brain healthy essential fatty acid omega 3 thanks to BBO!
And last but not least, my Pumpkin Pudding recipe….which is an awesome snack for the holiday season, calls for 1/4 cup of oat bran. I have been replacing this all or in part with Baby Brain organics recently and the product is equally delish and packed with even more nutrition!
I hope that this gives you a few new ideas to add more of this nutrition packed product to your and your children’s meals and snacks.
Until next time…stay healthy!
