Chickpea Spread

Hummus is a great dip for veggies or crackers or a spread on wraps. I love making this thicker version for my kids to pile high into CUCUMBER VOLCANOES or just to use as a regular dip. Hope you enjoy it too!


1 can chickpeas

1 cup sunflower seeds (or pumpkin seeds)

½ avocado diced

3 Tbsp. olive oil

1 tsp. lemon juice

½ tsp. garlic puree

Optional: for a more traditional hummus taste you can add in 1-3 Tbsp. of tahini

Instructions: Put all ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth. Serve with your favourite crackers or veggies or spread the hummus onto a wrap for a quick and easy lunch.

Storage note: If you will not be using the hummus the day you make it store it in an airtight container with the avocado pit inside to reduce browning.
