Summer Smoothies

It feels like we wait so long for hot summer days. Then when they arrive, kids constantly want freezies and popsicles to cool down! But the colour and sugar can really add up!

So I created a few fun recipes that can be enjoyed as smoothies or poured into popsicle molds that have tons of nutrition and flavour all at once!

Here are a few of our favourite combinations.

Watermelon Slushy: 2 cups fresh or frozen watermelon, 1 cup plain Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower rice, 1/2 cup diced cucumber, 2-3 pitted dates OR 1 Tbsp. maple syrup

Green Smoothie: 3 kiwi fruit (peeled), 1 banana, 1 cup frozen kale, 2 cups water or milk, 1 cup ice

Pina Colada: 1 cup frozen pineapple or mango, 1 banana, 1 cup cauliflower rice , 2 cups coconut milk

And if you really want to have fun you can layer a few together!
