We have a lot of fun with Valentines Day around our home. I love to add red to meals and snacks with tomatoes, red peppers, berries, and beet crackers. I also like to make heart shapes pancakes and chocolate smoothie bowls for breakfast. And then offer “heart-shaped” muffin tin snacks, homemade brownies, and chocolate chip cookies throughout the week. With these as part of the week, the the chocolate hearts that come home in the Valentines Day bags from school don’t seem like such a big deal. Speaking of classroom Valentines Day ideas, are you ready for Friday? If not, you are in the right place!
Making classroom Valentine’s Day cards is a fun adventure, but it can be hard to decide on what to put together. We try to send cards that go well with non-food or nutrient-dense food options in our home. This year I was planning to do LEGO, and then my friend Joy, from Lunches and Littles, sent me the most adorable printable that goes with Nature’s Bakery Fig Bars! Since these are one of our favourites snacks, we are doing a combination of both! Joy has been kind enough to share this printable for FREE with all of you too because you are “kind of a FIG deal” mama! You can download it Fig Themed Valentine’s Printable – Copy!
From Joy and myself and the 6 little ones that we are making Valentines with, a very Happy Valentines week to you and your family!
